The www.maxcom-leather.net website requires registration to the reserved area to enable the customer to view sales prices, finalize and monitoring orders and have access to order history services.

All customers are assigned the retail price list by default when they first log in.

VAT customers, once registration is complete, will be contacted by our managers to be assigned a dedicated price list for their company. For those who are already customers of Maxcom Leather Italia srl, once registration is complete, the already existing offline price list will be automatically assigned online.

Place an order

Maxcom Leather Italia srl is the first leather e-commerce in the world, in few steps you can buy your hides and receive them right away.


- Browse the shop and look for the most suitable article. In "Product Description" and "Data Sheet" you will find all the information you need about the product.

- Search for the footage you need. The software will automatically calculate the best possible combination within the hides available. We remind you that "perforated" (automotive) and "printed" leathers are sold only "in half" while "non-perforated" (automotive) leathers are sold only "whole". For specific requests in this regard, contact our sellers, a supplement will be applied for measures smaller than the leather.

- Add the product to chart.

- Please pay to proceed to check out.

- You will receive a confirmation mail with all the order's data and tracking number.

Payment

           - Private customer, NO VAT – in advance payment via:

  1. Paypal
  2. Credit card
  3. Wire transfer
  4. Cash on delivery - Italy Only

In case of wire transfer, reason for payment should be: "order number: MXC00000 (the number is on the summary web page and in the email you will receive upon confirmation)". The goods will be sent once the sum has been credited. The payment receipt must be sent by email to ordini@maxcom-leather.net, to confirm the order and reserve the goods. The hides are reserved for 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the order if the receipt will not be received in the above mentioned interval.

            - Customers with VAT number (ITALY):

Customers with VAT number may, in addition to the methods listed above, pay by bank transfer or bank receipt at maturity according to the commercial agreements in force with Maxcom Leather Italia srl.

There is a supplement of € 10 for the issue and collection of Ri.Ba.

We remind you that according to company policy the first purchase cannot be subject to payment extension.

           

             - Customers with VAT number (EU and EXTRA EU):

For foreign customers with valid VAT number, billing will take place net of VAT. Maxcom reserves the right to verify the validity of the VAT number provided during registration as required by the TUIR 2015 (and following) and to suspend / cancel the order in the event of invalidity that are not remedied before shipment.

 

Shipping and delivery

- Shipping to Italy and San Marino -

Maxcom guarantees the shipment in the same day of the order, for any order received by 11:30 am, with expected delivery in the next 24 hr (excluding Sicily, Sardinia and smaller islands). For orders received after this time, we will also try to comply with our standard, delivery in this case will also depend on the possibility of the carrier's collection.

Maxcom entrusts its shipments to the most important international carriers, when the order is assigned the customer will receive the tracking code with which to monitor the status of his shipment.

For the samples, unless otherwise requested by the customer, the shipment will take place by ordinary mail with delivery in 2-3 working days.

Express order delivery methods can be selected for delivery at 10:00 or at 12:00 on the day following the order (which must in any case be received by 11:30).

- International shipping –

International shipments can be requested in standard or express mode. Some countries are served exclusively in express mode by air, the available options can be viewed when composing the chart. For purchases with final destination in the USA or Russia, please check our dedicated e-commerce.

 

Returns

         For any information or problems relating to the goods, please contact our managers.

  1. Upon delivery of the goods, the customer is required to check the condition of the packaging and the presence of any damage to it due to transportation, such as to compromise its integrity. If the package is damaged please contact our offices immediately and do not sign the waybill for acceptance, unless otherwise indicated;
  2. In the event of products non conforming to the type of product purchased, leathers damaged during transport, leathers that are indelibly dirty, wrong product shipped and other manifest problems, the customer is obliged to inform our offices no later than 5 working days;
  3. Returns by color will not be accepted, we invite you to purchase a "sample" to evaluate the actual color as this may slightly differ from the screen image;
  4. All Maxcom products are provided with technical data sheet and if quality complaints occur that do not fall under points 1. and 2., Maxcom will request the customer to prove the non-conformity of the product by means of tests at third-party institutes. Maxcom reserves the right to carry out verification tests using samples from the same batch, from our production archive;
  5. Leather already cut by the customer, with missing footage, partially or completely used, indelibly marked for cutting and / or in any way damaged, will not be accepted in return;
  6. Without prejudice to points 1. and 2., Maxcom Leather Italia srl does not compensate for damage to the skin due to external factors that could compromise the performance identified in the technical data sheet. We offer a short list of examples to be considered non-exhaustive (damages caused by):

-        Exposure of the leather to bad weather:

-        Pets;

-        Foods or beverages (check the product waterproof grade);

-        Stains from colored fabrics;

-        clips, buttons, zipper;

-        non appropriate cleaning products and methods;

 

The refunds referred to in points 1. and 2. will be borne by Maxcom Leather Italia srl

  • In case of orders canceled within the following 24hrs and before the reception of the goods, shipping costs and bank commissions will be charged.

 

Update information 

The customer can update his personal information, shipping addresses and his choices in the management of privacy and sensitive data section, by accessing the site's own reserved area. In the event of a change in shipping address, make sure that the new address is correctly indicated in the shipping confirmation (e-mail containing the tracking code). If the data is not updated, contact our offices.

1. Do I have to create an account for maxcom-leather to make a purchase?
Creating an account on maxcom-leather is really simple and will allow you to easily purchase without having to enter your details every time you want to make a purchase. Having an account will also give you the right to benefits such as the access to the personalized price list, the orders tracking, the periodic reception of the newsletter and the right to receive discounts and offers. 2. How can I make an order on maxcom-leather?
Shopping on maxcom-leather is an easy and safe experience, please follow the steps below to make your purchase:

Log in to your account or create one (if you are a new customer).
• 
After you have decided what to purchase, select the quantity and click on “Add to Cart”.
• 
When you finished to add to the cart all the items you want to purchase, click on “Shopping Cart” in the upper right corner. 
• 
In the confirmation page you will find a summary of your shopping cart containing the list of the items you have selected. At this point, if you have changed your mind or if you want to delete one of the products you added, you can still do it by simply clicking on “Delete”. If you have a discount code to be entered please use the specific section “Discount Codes”. Click here for more info on how to use the discount codes.

To complete your order, click on “Proceed to checkout” to access to the checkout page.
• 
By clicking on proceed to checkout, you will go to the next section dedicated to the insertion of the address. If you already have one or more registered address, please select the address you would like to use for your order. If, however, you don’t have a registered address or you would like to add a new address, click on “New Address” from the drop down menu. At this point, please enter the address that you prefer. Remember that you can also set two different addresses for the shipment and the billing of your order by following the same procedure.

Finally, you will find the “Payment” section. At this point you will only have to select the payment method that you prefer. For more information on the available payment methods, please click here. Once you selected the payment method that you want to use, you will just have to enter the required data and click on “Place Order”.

3. Are the prices shown VAT excluded?
Yes, all the prices shown are VAT excluded, you can find the VAT summary on the checkout page.

4. The product I want is out of stock. When will it be available again?
If the product you are viewing is out of stock, click on the "Please click here to get notified when this product is back in stock", you will receive an email when the product becomes available for purchase again. 

At the bottom of the product page, you can find the section "You may also be interested in the following product (s)" here you can find all the colors similar to the product you are viewing or combinations by color of different products.
Alternatively, use the search filters per color: you could find many similar products to the one you were looking for!

5. Is it possible to cancel an order? 
We are very fast to process orders, for this reason the user cannot cancel the order by himself at his personal account.
The cancellation of the order is possible until the same is not yet in a state of “processing”, as visible in the “Orders status” in your personal area, only through a telephone request or by email.

All orders received before 11.30 am (GMT Italian time, working days) are shipped on the same day, for this reason it is possible to cancel an order no later than 14.00 pm on the same day. 
Once cancelled, the amount paid will be recharged through the same channel used for the payment. In case of payment by credit card, the timing of release, for certain types of cards, depend exclusively by the bank. 
Once the cancellation of the transaction has been asked, in no event maxcom-leather can be held liable for any damages, direct or indirect, caused by a delay in the failure to release the amount committed by the banking system. 

6. How to make a return?
Have you changed your mind or has your customer canceled the order? No problem: you have 5 days of time to ask for a return. The transport costs for the shipment of the package and any customs charges are directly charged to the customer. The Returns Office will not accept shipments for which customs charges will be required. See the section dedicated to returns for more information.

7. How does the refund for a return take place?
The refund of the returned products will take place only after all the checks on the returned order have been made, and after they have had a positive result. These controls concern the period of the return request and the compliance of the returned goods. 

Following these checks, the refund will be made by crediting your account if the purchase was made through PayPal or directly the credit card you used for the payment. You can see the refund on your account or on your card about 4-5 working days after the confirmation return e-mail. The timing of crediting your account depends solely on your bank. For all the purchases made by bank transfer or by cash on delivery, the refund process will take place by bank transfer through the coordinates of your account that you provided when you sent the return request. 

8. How much does it cost to return an item? 
The transport costs for the shipment of the package and any customs charges are directly charged to the customer.

9. Returns from the European Union
You can decide to return any product purchased on maxcom-leather within 5 days from the delivery date.

That's how you can do it: 
1. Contact our offices by email, indicating the order number and the product to be returned, describing the reason for the return.
2. Once the return request is authorized, send the package to:

We remind you that the transport costs for the shipment of the package are directly charged to the customer.

10. Returns from countries outside the European Union
You can decide to return any product purchased on maxcom-leather within 5 days from the delivery date.

That's how you can do it:
1. Contact our offices by email, indicating the order number and the product to be returned, describing the reason for the return. 
2. Once the return request is authorized, send the package to:

The transport costs for the shipment of the package and any customs charges are directly charged to the customer.

The Returns Office will not accept shipments for which customs charges will be required. 

11. How much does it take to receive the refund for the returned products?
After receiving and checking your return, we will proceed to the refund of the items by cancelling the transfer of the amount charged on the Credit Card, PayPal account or by Bank Transfer. 

The timing for the refund is up to 20 working days from the receipt of the goods at the Maxcom warehouse. 

12. How can I check the status of my order? 
The confirmation of your order and the changes of the processing and shipment status will be automatically sent to you by e-mail.

In your reserved area, in the section “My Orders” you can still check the status of your orders. 

13. How can I cancel my subscription to the maxcom-leather newsletter?
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter directly from your personal area by deselecting the checkbox in the "newsletter subscriptions" section and clicking "Save" to confirm.

14. With which payment methods can I make my purchases?
On maxcom-leather you can pay with different payment methods. You can choose the one that suits you the most, among:

•  Credit/Debit card or prepaid cards
•  PayPal
•  Bank Transfer
•  Cash on Delivery (view for IT only)

CREDIT CARDS
The credit cards accepted are all those that can be used through the Visa and MasterCard circuits and the Prepaid and Postpay credit cards. In case of purchasing goods with payment methods such as Credit Card or Prepaid Card, at the moment of completing the online transaction, the bank will authorize the charge of the amount related to the purchase made. Once the transaction is authorized, you will receive an e-mail confirming that the payment was successful and the order will be processed and sent to the address entered during the registration step.

PAYPAL
In case of purchase through the PayPal payment method, when you make the payment, you authorize PayPal to take the sum from the selected payment source: bank account, credit/debit/prepaid card, PayPal credit/prepaid card. The amount related to the order will be charged on the PayPal account together with the completion of the online transaction. Once the transaction is authorized, you will receive an e-mail to confirm that the payment was successful and the order will be processed and sent to the address given during the registration step.

BANK TRANSFER
The procedure to pay for your order on the maxcom-leather online shop through Bank Transfer is easy and safe. On the payment page, select "Bank transfer Payment" from the list of the accepted payment methods. Click on “Place Order”. Make the bank transfer putting it on:

The payment through bank transfer must be made within 5 working days from date of order. The reason of the bank transfer must contain the reference and the date of the order. After making the necessary controls, we will ship the products that you ordered.

CASH ON DELIVERY 
In case of purchase through the cash on delivery payment method you will be able to pay for your order directly on delivery. When the courier arrives, you will need to pay the amount indicated on the consignment note, that is the transport document, through payment in cash. Cheques are not accepted. The delivery of the order will take place only upon payment of the amount indicated. In case of failure in collecting the payment, the package will be returned to the sender and the order placed will be cancelled, charging any management costs. In case of return of the merchandise, the refund will be made by bank transfer to your bank account. 

15. What are the processing times of the order in case of payment by bank transfer?
The processing of your order will be authorized only on receipt of the payment on our bank account. In the case of international transfers, the reception times vary depending on the reference bank and can be of 2-3 working days.

16. What processes can be carried out on the leather? 
At the time of purchase you can decide whether to carry out the following processes:
1. Thickness shaving option
2. Perforation option (only half hides)

 1.Thickness shaving option:
The "Thickness shaving option" allows you to thin the hide by bringing it to a certain thickness. The options applicable and recommended by Maxcom vary from a thickness of 1.00mm down to a minimum of 0.7mm. If you need lower thicknesses, please contact our managers for an evaluation. (The tests guaranteed by Maxcom are intended for leathers with thickness from 1.1 to 1.3)
The processing times are approximately 5 working days and the processing can be carried out on both half hides and whole hides.

2. Perforation option:
The "Perforation option" allows you to perforate / punching the leather with the hole you prefer among those selected by Maxcom. The perforation options applicable and selected by Maxcom are 6 and the processing times vary according to the type of hole. You can find out the processing times directly on the hole selection page during purchase. The perforation / punching can be done only on half leathers.

Please note: The selected processes will be applied to all the selected leathers, therefore if your order consists of normal hides and hides of the same product / color but that you are willing to process, we recommend you to add the unprocessed leathers to the cart first and then get back to the product page again and add the hides with the processing you prefer to the cart. 

17. Who bears the transfer costs and fees?
Costs and fees for payments through national and foreign bank transfer are fully paid by the customer. The amount of these costs varies depending on the country and the reference bank and it is intended as an additional amount to the total amount of the order.

18. I have a discount code, how can I use it? 
Using a discount code is really easy! 

At the Cart summary page, please write or copy and paste the code in the "Discount Codes" section. Make sure you enter the promotional code exactly as it has been provided to you, with no spaces. Once you have entered your promotional code, be sure to click on “Apply”. You can verify that the discount has been applied by checking the summary of items: the value of the discount will be deducted and the total price will be modified. 
Note: it is not possible to combine two or more coupons at a time. 

19. What are the shipping costs? 
Shipping costs depend on the country of destination.

The shipping costs do not include customs duties and import duties in case of delivery of goods to countries outside the European Union, which are charged to the end customer.

20. Where is my order?
All the orders are sent through a service of traceable delivery. 

Once the shipment has been made, we will send you a confirmation e-mail containing the tracking number to check the status of the delivery of your package. In addition, you can track your orders by logging in to the "My Account" section. Once logged in, you will just have to click on "View order" in the "My orders" section and then on "Track your order". Click on the link to track the shipment directly on the courier's website. If the date forecasted for the delivery has already passed and you have not received your package yet, please contact us. Please click here, we will do our best to help you.

21. What is the timing for my order fulfillment? 
For all the orders received by 11:30 am (GMT Italian time, working days), we will arrange the shipment the same day, and the delivery according to the target area, within 24/48 following working hours.

For the orders received after 11:30 am (GMT Italian time), we will arrange the shipment the following working day, and the delivery within 24/48 hours depending on the destination zone.
As for the delivery to foreign destinations, the estimated delivery is indicated during the selection of the shipping method.

22. How much are the costs and the customs duties? 
If you ordered outside of the European Union, please consider that customs duties are applied when the package reaches the destination country. Maxcom has no control on these amounts and cannot tell you how much are they, since they can vary from country to country. We suggest you to contact the customs office for receiving more information about it before placing an order, so that you do not have unpleasant surprises in case you had to pay customs duties which you were not expecting.
